Your data keeps your money safe — and stays with KFOS.

KFOS uses session data to keep your financial transactions secure and to streamline your checkout. We collect it ourselves — no third-party trackers, no ad networks, nothing sold. This policy follows Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.

What we record when you use KFOS

Pages and time. The pages you open in the app and on this website, and how long you actively use each one.
What you look at. Items you open or stop on, searches, cart additions, shops you follow — to recommend similar items and show you what matters first.
Approximate location. Your town and country from your internet connection, so we can show nearby shops. Your exact GPS location only when you tap "Share location" and allow it.
Device. Phone, computer or app, and browser type.
Business records. For shops: sales, stock, payments and staff activity — the records the till, books and credit scoring are built from.

What we use it for

Keeping accounts and payments secure (spotting unusual sign-ins and activity).
Recommending similar items, putting a shop's most-sold items first at its till, and shortcuts to the pages you use most.
Messages you'd expect: receipts, low-stock alerts to shops, and one reminder if you leave items in your cart.
Improving KFOS — which pages help, where people get stuck.

How long and who sees it

Browsing activity is kept for 12 months, then deleted automatically. It is seen only by KFOS administrators, and by a shop only for its own business. We never sell it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or erase your data — in the app under My account → Privacy, or by writing to [email protected]. Browsing without an account? Clear this site's data in your browser and your device id is gone.
